New to holistic pet oral care?
Eliminating the anesthetics during drug-free pet teeth cleaning allows me to work with high-risk breeds, animals with medical conditions, and elderly pets. Teeth cleaning without anesthesia is also an excellent option for those loved pets, whose guardians choose to widen the spectrum of grooming and general care while keeping the ‘all-natural’ a priority.
Drug-free teeth cleaning is a gentle and straightforward procedure; a logical outcome of numerous professionals from a variety of health and animal-related fields, who were working towards establishing proper teeth cleaning methods without drugs, sedation, and anesthesia.
Pearly Whites For Pets
In our 1st Visit, I will meet your pet, walk you through the entire process and clean your dog’s teeth.
Drug-free pet teeth cleaning is not intended to replace dental cleanings offered at animal hospitals and veterinary clinics. The methods utilized are considered cosmetic and should not be treated as a veterinary or medical procedure.
All effort will be made to remove all tartar from the teeth; pets are completely awake and aware, and it may be impossible to complete an entirely thorough job.
In most cases, your pet is going to be positioned on a comfy blanket with plenty of support to make her or him feel comfortable on my lap. This way I have easy access to every area of your pet’s mouth. I can see, touch, and reach every corner of the mouth, every tooth, and make sure that nothing stays unnoticed.
After easing into this submissive position, I carefully introduce the necessary tools, and their different sounds, as well as a variety of holds. Slowly and meticulously I clean all tooth surfaces in a straightforward and gentle fashion.
I use similar hand instruments to what you see in a hygienist’s office. All tools are thoroughly sterilized, and all surfaces are wiped to ensure a clean environment.
Once the scaling process (removal of tartar and plaque) is finished I polish all tooth surfaces. My choice of polishing paste is free of fluoride and xylitol as well as other unnecessary additives.
Through a gentle and confident approach, I help dogs and cats relax through a variety of techniques. I communicate verbally by using a calm and assertive tone and language and interact with your pet through assuring and comfortable handling while respecting your pet’s space. These and other intuitive factors help me to learn more about your pet and perform my job to the best of my ability.
I prefer to work with your pet alone. I find that it is easier for my four-legged clients to relax without the guardians being present.
I respect unique circumstances and if you feel that your presence will positively impact your pet during the cleaning, then feel free to let me know and I will make sure that you can stay with us.
I kindly ask you to be on time for your appointment and if possible, arrive a few minutes early and allow your dog a short walk.
Keep your dog on a leash and your cat in an appropriate carrier.
I work with two forms that need to be acknowledged and signed. You can print, and complete both and bring with you to your appointment or you are welcome to complete them at the office.
