We’re Looking for a Few Good Dogs (Yes, Really)

Pearly Whites for Pets is opening up our Training Dog Program at both Studio on King in Toronto and our new Markham studio, and we’re inviting local dog owners to take part.

Here’s what that means, in plain terms: we train new practitioners the same way any hands-on craft is taught, through real, supervised practice. Our Training Dog Program gives dogs a complimentary, all-natural cosmetic teeth cleaning while giving our practitioners-in-training the guided experience they need to grow. Everyone benefits.

How it works

A session is a calm, two-hour visit, longer than a standard appointment on purpose, so there’s room for breaks and gentle handling throughout. It’s always one-on-one, and always supervised by an experienced practitioner. Your dog is never left on their own.

The people doing the training aren’t new to dogs. Our practitioners-in-training come in with 5+ years of dog-handling experience already, so your dog is in familiar, capable hands from the moment they arrive.

In exchange for a session, we ask that your dog be available up to four times a year. In practice, most dogs come in just once or twice.

What your dog gets out of it

A bright, polished smile and a comfortable couple of hours built entirely around their pace. Soft blankets, quiet surroundings, and the kind of unhurried attention that turns a routine visit into something closer to pampering. It’s oral maintenance, delivered gently.

Who can take part

Because our practitioners are still building their experience, we’re looking for dogs who are naturally easygoing. That means:

      • Under 11 years of age

      • In good general health

      • Generally well-behaved and comfortable being handled

      • No history of biting or aggression

    Why we’re asking

Pearly Whites for Pets was founded in 2012 on the idea that pets deserve a gentle, spa-like teeth cleaning experience, and that the people providing that care deserve real, thorough training to do it well. The Training Dog Program is where that training actually happens. It only works because owners are willing to share their dogs, and we don’t take that lightly.

We’re grateful for every owner willing to include us in their dog’s journey.

Ready to give it a try? Enroll your dog and read the short program agreement. It takes just a few minutes.

This is a cosmetic and maintenance service and is not a replacement for regular veterinary check-ups or the oral health services a veterinarian provides.
